John and I had a scrapbooking show in San Diego this past weekend and our hotel was only a ten minute walk from the beach. So of course we had to take Rhett for his first seaside experience. The weather was warm and there were a lot of surfers and the sand was NICE sand (and not rocky or anything like that). It was a locals beach and therefore, fairly secluded as well. Here are some pictures of Rhett on the beach.
Rhett, sticking his feet in the waves -- the first touch, he withdrew his legs as the water hit them. I think it surprised him.
I'm not sure how Rhett really did feel about the feet in the water sensation when it was all said and done. The whole time, he wore a very concentrated face that didn't give off much expression... probably a little bit of OVER stimulation (he slept the whole walk home).

This he doesn't seem to mind terribly...
If we were smart about the whole event, we would have thought ahead and remember to bring sunscreen with us, but since we didn't we only stayed on the beach for half an hour before I began to worry about Rhett's skin exposure to the sun. All in all though, it was a great experience!

How did Rhett like the beach and water? Was the water too cold for him? they are cute pictures though.
