I got a call from Rhett's daycare about half an hour after he was dropped off by John. Rhett has had crusties in his eyes before (when he was born) and so I didn't think much of it when I wiped his eyes this morning. Additionally, the wind has been blowing here in Vegas and other people were complaining about their allergies and I thought, maybe Rhett had allergies, so I wasn't all that concerned about his watery eyes. However, the daycare was....After tracking down our insurance information (we didn't have our new cards mailed to us yet) and getting Rhett to the doctor, turns out he had pinkeye. Lesson for me and I was greatful the daycare caught it in its early stages (as the day progressed, his eyes got worse). I was baffled by the perscription I got for him, WITH insurance, a tiny bottle of eye drops not much bigger than my THUMB cost me $37! Alas, Rhett gets another sick day tomorrow until the drops have run their cycle and Rhett is no longer contagious. And I get two days of laundry (today because it was discovered and again tomorrow when Rhett is no longer contagious) to make sure the germs don't spread.
